Case Study

Small Branded Pharmaceutical

Outsourced recruitment of their national field sales force beginning in March of 2001. At that time, the field sales force was around 650 and had just rolled over from a Ventiv contract force. Today, Our Client's sales force is more than 1000 strong. For Our Client, we manage all national field sales recruitment, related technologies, provide interview training, conduct exit interviews and administer the background checks for all company staff.

Specialty Pharmaceutical

Claddagh began recruiting for this Specialty Pharmaceutical Company in 2003 as a preferred vendor. When they were preparing for a major expansion in early 2004, they asked Claddagh to tender on the project. This project was a co-promotion with a Biotech company to build a sales force from scratch so that they could launch a brand new overactive bladder drug in the US marketplace.

Claddagh was selected to recruit 155 experienced pharmaceutical sales professionals, 13 DMs and provide administrative management for an additional 54 hires for Indevus. This project was completed in 12 weeks with 100% territory fill rate. We managed every aspect of the recruiting process including all candidate sourcing, interview management, background checks and even generated offer letters for all sales representatives.

The two clients merged their sales forces in November 2004 under the Specialty Pharmaceutical Company name. Due to our success of the recruitment above and subsequent launch of the drug, the Specialty Pharmaceutical Company selected Claddagh as their outsourced recruitment service provider through 2006 to manage all sales force recruitment for their national sales organization including: Sales Representatives, District Managers, Regional Managers and Managed Care Professionals.

Mid-Size Pharmaceutical Managed a project to recruit 96 sales representatives in 30 days in September 2003. To achieve this aggressive timeline, we implemented our panel recruitment process setting up interviews in four different cities interviewing the top two candidates for each position. We achieved a time to fill rate of just under 15 days and had an 87% hit rate on first round interviews. This was our first recruitment event for this client, and since then we have consistently recruited primary care sales representatives, district managers, and hospital sales. This company recently asked us to manage a smaller panel in March of 2005 as they continue to contract with Claddagh for special projects.
